However, just as he thinks that things cannot get possibly worse, they suddenly do. An eddy in the space-time continuum lands him, Ford Prefect, and their flying sofa in the middle of the cricket ground at Lord's, just two days before the world is due to be destroyed by the Vogons.Escaping the end of the world for a second time, Arthur, Ford, and their old friend Slartibartfast embark (reluctantly) on a mission to save the whole galaxy from fanatical robots. Not bad for a man in his dressing gown . . .Follow Arthur Dent's galactic (mis)adventures in the rest of the trilogy with five parts: So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish, and Mostly Harmless.*****Praise for Douglas Adams:'Sheer delight' - The Times'A pleasure to read' - New York Times 'Magical . . . read this book' - Sunday Express

"This book is the third book in the Hitchhiker's series. This book marks a drastic change in the series. The characters end becoming stereotypes or Caricatures of themselves. This is best seen in Arthur Dent. A man who started off the series with healthy scepticism for the way the universe works after Earth is blown up to make way for a highway. Now seems like a total idiot. I was so annoyed by this could continue using my eyes to read this. So switched to audio. The Internet archives as the Douglas Adams read audio books on their website.
The book is alright. It was nice to see the return of some of the characters we met in the first two books. But overall after reading this can't imagine how people said we need two more books. shall read those too but only to say I've read the whole series."
